If you wish to find out more about autism, the Autism Bedfordshire website https://www.autismbedfordshire.net/ may provide you with more information, alongside information of playschemes and online training to support families in Bedfordshire.
The ‘Bedfordshire and Luton Children’s Community Health Hub’ is the new name for the Single Point of Access (SPA) service, which has brought all the children’s health services under one contact number. Please see the attachment below for more information.
In addition to this, a Diagnosis Support Pack has been created to support families with support and information after a diagnosis. The pack has been co-produced with the help of parents, young people, local Parent Carer Forums, CAMHS, Education Psychology and other key partners.
The final attachment is a document from the Bedford Parent Carer Forum. This is a group of parents and carers of children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) who work with local authorities, education settings, health providers and other providers to make sure that the services they commission, plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and families.
